This one has been on the bench (or a facsimile thereof) for the past 10-11 years. The original vision was for a streetable car that would lurk the streets looking for a certain flat black 55 Chevy. However the cheater slicks were destined for another build, so I went full Gasser on this one.
The intake manifold and headers are scratchbuilt. Unfortunately, I got sloppy on final assembly and the cool can interferes with the hood closing.
The SCRambler is a unibody car, so with all the torque of the BBC I decided a set of subframe connectors would be in order, as well as some ladder bars. A I said the original idea was for a streetable car, that is why it has a full exhaust system.
Final picture of the engine in all its naked glory. The HEI ignition was bought from a closing Hobby Shop more that 15 years ago. It is a beautiful pewter casting and I have been unable to find any more.
