5 day weekend
« on: August 31, 2017, 10:28:08 AM »
Took today and tomorrow off.  Not too much in the way of yardwork.  Time to get started on a new build, maybe two.  Got a Vega wagon body that is yearning to become a modified plus the Revell 70s GMC pickup w/snowplow that I've been itching to get to.  It's that time of year when I really start getting the itch!   Muwahahahahaha......

But first, time to catch up on the recently posted builds here!

I have started my time off . So with all the rain it's modeling time in the model room.  Maybe some grill time over the time off

:)  Well, I am coming around too.  Not much left to do on my Ford dually.

:)  Bill, will the pickup pull the Vega ?  Just wondering.  Or just pull snow duty ?

I've got a Vega wagon too. Going to be an early IMCA modified. Gotta get going on that someday. Hope the change in weather gives everyone the building bug.

Hadn't thought of that.  Going with the plow though as I've never built one.  ;D

Ok......after reconnecting with "the gang" I'm getting inspired to at least put some stuff on the table. I've got a specific New England modified that could be a relatively quick build, and it will have a unique body style, so that entices the pot a little.

I'll have to learn how to post pics all over again, but I will try to post some WIP pics as I progress through the build.
My worst day of building STILL beats my best day at work !!

You are right John I have gone through 25 pounds of charcoal already. Still not done cooking. Now it's modeling time. Working on 63 nova and 59 El Camino sedan delivery.

:)  Bill, I have a 3 day weekend every week.    Being retired for a good while now, I try to get all my chores done Monday through Thursday.  It gives some semblance of order to my routine, and helps keep the days from being all the same and running together.

I try to devote those 3 days to models,  racing, football, basketball, and church.  Even at that the weather sometimes reschedules  my grass cutting.  Or a doctor will sneak in an appointment on me.
