Vintage modified build # 100

I had a guy contact me after seeing one of my builds on Facebook.
He wanted me to build a model of his friends vintage modified. They run these cars in a vintage club in Pa.
I built the number 100, owned and driven by Huey Wright. I used a 37 Plymouth body from Big Donkey resin.
His friend just gave it to him as a gift.
Here's some pictures

I enjoyed building this one, I hope you enjoy taking a look at it.
When I build one for someone else and they have a big smile and really love the car, that's what makes it worthwhile.

I had to cut out the top rail from the firewall to the front. The car is a raised rail chassis. I used plastic coated wire for the raised rail. I cut off the chassis from the front shock mounts forward. On the rear I angled the 2 X 4 frame downward. I should have lengthened the frame more from the firewall forward. The actually car is a Bicknell chassis from around the 2000 era. The tires and wheels came from Ron Coons resin. They are made in three pieces.

That really came out nice Bob. It looks just like the pic of the 1/1. I'd have a big smile on my face too if it were coming to me!!! GREAT job...

Bob that is a beautiful build I think anyone would be proud to have on their shelf. I also have one of Larry's 37 Plymouths that I want to do something with so I need to ask, other than removing the molded in firewall and looks like a slight bobbing of the rear what other body mods did you have to make? Thanks Al

Thanks again for the nice comments on my build.
Too Fordguy's questions referring to body modifications.
I just shortened the rear trunk area to match the real car. I cut down the door on the left side of the body.I opened up the window areas a small amount. The biggest modification was opening up the rear wheel cutouts. I had to remove quite a bit of material in front of the rear wheels to get the body back to match the original car.

Thanks Bob that info will help. Looks like you used a Tobias frame for your build I plan to use a frame from the Monogram 39 Chevy and those body mods should help to give it the look that I am after. Thanks again.

Thanks all for the comments.
Steven, after looking at the heading on my post, I can see why you thought it meant my 100th replica build.
When typing the heading, I never thought about it looking like my 100th build.
