'64 Merc short tracker

Mark Box stoked to do this. He gave it to me a few years ago and I haven't touched. That two days ago. Couldn't resist another big car from the 60's. It's a screw bottom, so won't get into much detail on the bottom side.

That is nice! Sits perfect! Gonna be a cool one Rett! Can't wait to see more!  I'm attempting a 64 Ford build, hopefully I can finish it... Not had very good luck on completing anything the past few months.

Looks good
I miss that era back when a race car was built from a mans mind and experience not bought and assembled and someone hired to set it up for the 15-16 year old driver

Looks like a great start.  Is it going to be a tribute car?

No, just a fantasy build like my usual. The only replica, or tribute builds I do are mostly my own cars and a couple of close friends. Fact is, I don't think I remember anyone using a '64 Merc around my area.

Looking really good.  Like the idea of the long wheelbase cars on short tracks.  I have a few of the late 50's, early 60's full size boats in the stash, this build may make me dig one out and see what I can do with it.
When I win the Powerball I will switch to the real ones.

Do it! There's a few of us hooked on the big ones. Slim, Mike Meier quickly come to mind. And there are others who enjoy the big car builds!!

Finished the interior. Had to add a few bars to the cage, modified the dash a little, and parts boxed the rest.
