To be honest, my weathering and rusting skills are just at the beginning, allmost everything on this Torino
happend accidentally. I tried a few things and it worked.
But i´m not 100% satisfied with the result, imho. the rust is to thick and not 100% realistic.
I have to learn and practice a lot for my planned racecar junkyard diorama. There are 15-20 cars which i want to dent and rust.
A friend of the Wendell Scott´s family contacted me a few years back and asked me to sell him this model.
He has a very cool collection of Wendell model cars and says he must have the rusted Torino.
I told him that i rather would build a new (old) one, because it was quite easy to build a rusted modelcar, I thought!
It was very difficult to replicate the Torino, to build a good and reaistic looking junker is a lot of work, i didn´t expect that!
