(FINISHED) Jim Nave # 32 Mustang late model
« on: March 08, 2020, 11:13:38 AM »
This is a shelf replica of the number 32 Ford Mustang, late model, driven by Jim Nave.
He raced at Port Royal, Bedford and other western Pa. tracks. He had many wins with this car. Powered by a 427 ci big block Ford.
There were at least two versions of this car, the first had leaf springs on the rear. The second car was a C&F chassis with coil springs front and rear.

I used a Ford Nascar kit for the build.
Mustang body provided by John 2 on the forum.

ANOTHER GREAT SET OF DECALS BY GREG HOLLAND
Parts from Big Donkey resin. Tires, wheels, seat, valve covers and air cleaner.

Restored version of the original car.

Extremely nice looking build.  And it is a Mustang, can't help but love it.
When I win the Powerball I will switch to the real ones.

Looks spot-on Bob! Those rear tires "musta" really got a bite! Reminds of those referred to as "Big Jalonies" back in the day.

Thanks all for the comments.

I had a little help from David, in getting the wheel base and fender cut outs correct.

I really enjoy looking at models built to replicate a real car. Makes me appreciate the builders talent even more and you did an outstanding job.
