One more color to go! Then it's lettering, clear coat, bumpers and a couple of small details. Oops, hope I didn't jinx it, this is the stage I usually mess something up!

....Nothing finer than a big car broad sliding it thru a turn on a dirt track :)   Your Merc is turning out great!!
The only heroes in Washington are buried just outside of it in Arlington

Man Rett...that really looks good. My brother-in-law ran a ford like that back in the late 60's. Seeing yours makes me want to build it right now...LOL

That was sort of the idea, but I didn't have the correct red, and couldn't go get some.

WOW!  Beautiful car.  I wouldn't try to get around a car that size with that long rear end hanging out, there wouldn't be any space on the turns and too much car to pass on the straights.  Great job.
