Here's the story: Several automotively inclined fellas from Indiana decide they want to go down to Florida and try their hand at NASCAR. The Permatex Sportsman series, to be specific. They aquire a discarded Holman Moody chassis, find a 64 junkyard T_Bird, buy a 427 Ford motor, and get the a body shop and a full service garage to sponsor and help out. Small time budget, but skilled and determined to make this happen. Here is the result.

 :)  Super slick, super Slim.

And, I have to tell you  -   DX   -  my all time favorite of all the oil companies and their  logos.  First time I  ever heard of it, was on an old dirt modified coupe  --   sponsored by " Wimpy's  DX, 3rd at Auction, Memphis. "  The number on it might have  been 4Q.  Have forgotten the driver, but it just might have been  " Jolly " John Fox.  Probably 1956.

Great model, Slim.
