1960 Ford Short Tracker
« on: December 05, 2019, 03:50:39 PM »
Special thanks to Greg Holland for the decals! I decided to be the "driver" on this one so I could have maybe raced against Rett up in Wisconsin back in the day! Hope you like it! - David

I appreciate people that actually build and post models.

Very nice build David, I like it. Nice decals from Greg also.

I can tell it's brand new, it won't look like that several weeks into the season with you driving.  :) :)

Really nice build, like the "triple nickel" numbers and decals.

Not a bad idea Bob! Maybe sometime in the future I will dismantle this one and wad it up good to show what happened after Rett stuffed me in the wall! (Or maybe I just spun and backed it in on my own!!)  :o

I can honestly say I never intentionally stuffed anyone in the wall (not that I didn't want to). Having said that, maybe you'd  be a good candidate!!!!! LOL

I see one BIG PROBLEM with it IT"S NOT MINE and will never be on my shelf and that's just wrong it is a fantastic model and anyone would be proud to own it... If you decide you don't like it and it needs to go send it to me I have one spot on my shelf for it already...

GREAT BUILD..Thanks for all the posts about the build...

Annie G says she loves it -----  especially all the red.

I think it is pretty cool too.

Got to love those big-bodied short-trackers.  Your exceptional abilities shine through on this one, great job. A full field would almost fill a Saturday night bull-ring.  As an aside, back in the early 60's my Father took me to Bowman-Gray Stadium to watch the Grand Nationals run.  Forty full-sized sedans on a 1/4 mile, narrow, two lane track made for some pretty boring racing until a few dropped out.  The infield is a football field for a local college.  I can't remember the participants but I know two of them got into a demolition derby out on the football field.  Exciting stuff to a 13 year old.
When I win the Powerball I will switch to the real ones.

Man David...A GREAT looking Ford for sure. My brother-inlaw ran the same body back in 68-69. His paint scheme was exactly the opposite of what you did here. He painted it red on the body and white interior. I've had that build on my list for a few yrs now and seeing how cool yours looks...Makes me want to drop everything else on the list and build that one. Thanks for posting this cool ford....

There is just something SPECIAL about white race cars with red interiors. This one is really cool. I love it that you put a 406 incher in it!
