Title: NOT the Torino Modified Stocker kit
Post by: sentsat71 on June 19, 2017, 08:41:42 PM
This build was the annual issue of the AMT '69 Torino, originally built as a NASCAR, but unpainted (Yep, a couple of year before I started painting my builds)

Went through a few modifications before I used the tires/wheels from the Malibu Modified Stocker after scrapping it because of the bad fit of the rear axle to frame/spring, this kit's windows included the side glass all in one piece with the windshield and back window. the rear window straps were glued on so tight that in trying to get them off was going to pull the window frame with them. did not know about the freezer trick 40 years ago....lol The while on the sides is unpainted as I did not want to lose those decals.

I used the AMT '69 to do a Junior Johnson/Leroy Yarbrough short track version of the #98. That body wasn't bad at all. Good save.
