53 Stude Starline Coupe
« on: September 12, 2017, 06:47:32 PM »
This has been posted before but never really completed. A big block chevy powered dirt modified sportsman on a 57 chevy chassis.
Now is complete with engine, radiator, complete interior, new cage side bars, gas tank replaced by a safer fuel cell, headers and exhauast, and yes! A drive shaft. Took 9years and two months, but now it's cleaned up and complete!

Great looking Studer Slim! I am really becoming a fan of the entire Studebaker lineup; they had some innovative and fast vehicles!
I appreciate people that actually build and post models.

Super looking Studebaker, really enjoy your attention to detail.  Which '57 Chevy chassis did you use: a standard kit chassis or one of the  modified kits?  Also did you do the decals yourself?
When I win the Powerball I will switch to the real ones.

Thanks fellas. I used the new tool 57 chevy kit for the chassis. The one with separate frame rails. Ye, the decals are mine.

I agree...one great looking Studebaker!  Like the color combo. Those heavy-duty bumpers were typical in our area back in the 50s-60s.

Another good one here! I didn't even look at the builders name and still knew it was yours...

Good to see this one again, Slim.  Your vintage color schemes are the best!  8)
