Here's the back story. "Trackbound" was a fine builder on the old Forum and he had started a short track build of a NASCAR Pontiac kit and lost interest since it really wasn't the kind of car he normally built. He started it and had done some nice work and then I bought it from him and it just sat around for a year or so. I then picked it up and altered and completed the body work, built a motor for it and fabbed out the interior. When it came time to button it all up I thought to myself, who finishes off a model better than good old "JohnB", another terrific builder from the old Forum. So. . . I packed it up and sent it off to him and told him to do whatever he wanted with it and when it was done it was his.
A couple months passed and then I got the car back in the mail. Wow!! Did JohnB do a great job or what! He also said that it was a true community build and that whoever "won" the next CBP, this car should be awarded to the winner in that spirit along with whatever else they were to receive. What a terrific idea! I agreed and then the old Forum just went "Poof" and I couldn't contact Trackbound or JohnB and there was certainly no forthcoming CBP.
So after sitting on this thing for a few months I decided to post some pictures and it will indeed be part of the prize package for the first CBP on this Forum, whenever that may be. Here are some shots of the true community built Poncho Short Tracker.
