Looking for a Slant 6
« on: August 26, 2018, 07:17:42 AM »
Does anyone happen to have one that they will trade for or sell?

Way back when, the Deora kit had one, but I'm not sure about any kits since then.
Can anyone point me to some kits that I can start looking for?

Thanks,
vsrn

The Lindberg 64 dodge 330 in the non race car version has one.   I might have a leaning tower of power stashed somewhere, I'll check.

The old XR6 show car model had one with side draft Weber’s on it. There is a nice resin one made by Ross Gibson with the stock two barrel version, and the hyper version with the 4barrel, and headers.
There was a guy that ran at our track years ago that ran a souped up sidehill six, that really gave the V8 guys a run for their money. I think he’s the guy that got the track to require some sort of muffler system. That thing was loud, and high pitched, and really hurt your ears.

There is also one in the Lindberg 64 Plymouth Belvedere kit.
When I win the Powerball I will switch to the real ones.

I have a built one that I was going to put in a modified I was building but lost interest in the build! If you want to cover shipping you can have what I have. I don’t think it’s complete but if it would be enough for what you need!? I can dig it out and click a couple pics!!??

Thanks, Dr Kerry -

If you can send a pic or two, I'll be glad to cover the postage.

Lefturns75 -

If you find a complete one that you can spare, I'll cover the cost & postage with cash or decal trade.

Everybody else -

Thanks for the kit suggestions!

This is for a modified project, using one of Karl Stark's 33 Plymouth 5 window bodies!

Are those bodies from Karl still available? I have been trying to get one for some time. He’s kind of hard to get in touch with.

I got mine from Karl about a month ago. But I haven't heard from him in the last two weeks or so.
I'm wondering if he was affected by some of the heavy rains that hit that area recently.
If I can get in touch with him, I'll let you know.

Vsrn that would be great. I have been wanting to build a Plymouth five window coupe like one that used to run here in California at the very beginning of the modified era. It ran a big Chrysler Flathead six.

Olderndirt -

The 33 Plymouth 5W Coupe bodies are available.

Karl is on vacation at the moment, so you can try him again after Labor Day

Thanks vsrn, what is the best way to contact him? I have been trying to get one of these for over a year.
