'85 Nascar Featherlite Modified Mustang
« on: June 11, 2017, 11:01:59 PM »
I built this puppy about 11yrs ago. I used the body from the Revel Mustang turbo kit and went to town. Heavily modified chassis is from and ASA kit. The rest of the build is pretty much fabbed.

Beautiful modified.  Got to love those Whelens - Bowman Gray Stadium on Saturday night.
When I win the Powerball I will switch to the real ones.

:)  Quite a piece.  Very nice, Gary.  Beyond me.

Rick, sure wish I  could have seen a race at Bowman Gray.  I saw the midgets on Saturday night in Daytona before the 500, a couple of times, in the md 60s.  At a high school stadium as I recall.   Lots of fun.

I am sure BG is a treat.

I'm in awe of this one! I consider myself to be a pretty good modeler, but, no where near as good as this. You have my respect for sure. Awesome build.

Thanks for the comments folks. I made a mistake in the Heading....it should read.."Featherlite Modified".... I'll go in and change that...

No, you made a mistake in the heading because it should have said "Incredible Unbelievable Amazing Whelen Modified Build"!
 ;D
LOL...Thank you very much David.

I had to get out the high power specs, because I was suspicious that you were trying to pass of pictures of a real car, as a scale model. OMG, I am very impressed. This is one fine model.

All I see is the 1:1 that you may have used for reference for the model build!!!  I'd sure like to see the model!!!  Seriously, really gorgeous build, over the top realistic, Gary!!! gb🤗😎👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🏁
