This is a model I did when the midgets first came out. Don't think it has been on this forum.

Very Nice Pair I like those midget kits this one is great...
-
I am glad you like it.
And thanks for the reply. Lots of people look, but there is not much talk back. I don't know what's going on. I miss the exchange of info, thoughts and ideas.
I may can post a short track Buick LM later today. I don't think it ever made Fred's or here.

John, as always you have produced an outstanding model. I missed those midgets when they were first introduced, never really had an interest in them. However, I was watching "Overhaulin" the other night and saw, what I think may have been a 1/4 midget in the background. Kind of got me to thinking I might like to try one.

Nice builds John. Both the midget and the truck look great.
Unfortunately, I think a lot of builders have moved to Facebook. I do post on Facebook but prefer the forums.
I believe, I saw this forum has around 180 members, but very few post anything. There are a lot of great people on here willing to help fellow builders. I have made many trades and received parts from fellow members at no cost. I never had a problem with anyone.
Let's hope posts and comments will pick up here but it's doubtful.

Great looking team there, John2!!
Me, i doubt I'll even get any of the midget kits I have, built....

Nice looking rig there John! I bought one of those midgets one and looked at all the itty bitty parts and turned around and sold it! Thanks for posting. Tb

Yes, the small parts are different. I do appreciate the comments.
I don't do Facebook, and I won't.

That's a very good looking team John. I've got a few of these and haven't got to them yet. I built the 1/18 monogram midget and the 1/18 late 60's dirt sprint/super modified and went on to fendered cars for a while. Seeing this makes me want to get to a few. Thanks for posting...

Thank YOU Gary.

That's a nice combo you've got there. Put a few things in the bed of the truck and it's off to the races.
I bought several of these kits and built a few. The model goes together so well that the small parts aren't really a problem so I encourage more of you to build one.
Never had the desire to join Facebook. I look at most models on this site but don't comment much because I just don't. Nothing against the models I see it's just how I am. Maybe I should say more to support the builder and the site.

Nice little combo build! Great work!

Thanks to all.

Hey John...you're very welcome. What do you two have on the bench?

Apologies for missing this one John. That is a very nice looking race car and tow truck combo. I really like the blue and white on the midget and that to me shouts ol skool but that is just me. I agree that the kit has small parts but it also has the photo etch parts which can help it stand out from other kits. I built one of the first flathead powered kits and everything went together well but even though it is 1/24th/1/25th scale it still seemed like building in a totally different scale. But for me it was sort of a slump buster after working with the larger cars in 1/24th/25th scale kits. By-the-way John, did you check out Dirtvision yet? Keep on building.

Gary -- Anne is building a Shelby Cobra, and I am doing a Fred Lorenzen '56 Ford LM, even though there was never a real one.
Al, I did, but as I understood it, they want $39 a month to watch it.
Thanks for the interest in the midget.

John that doesn't sound right but I'll check with my buddy Thursday when we golf he may know a work around but I can't guarantee anything.
