Title: My First Model
Post by: AnnieG on July 10, 2019, 10:15:24 AM
Hi, guys. This is my '58 Edsel. The first model I built with the encouragement of my husband.

I am sure I picked the Edsel off of the shelf due to all of the pretty shiny chrome work, but working with Bare Metal Foil was very difficult. Many times I thought I was through with a part, then the foil would tear and I had to remove it and start over. My next build will not have as much foil work. (But I still like the kits with the pretty shiny bling. What can I say?)

Well done!!! I haven't met anyone that like foil. But ya gotta do what ya gotta do, and you did it!

Don't sell yourself short Annie, that is a very good-looking model that would turn eyes on any contest table.  That Edsel is an intimidating car to foil.  Hoping to see more of your work,  Great job!

Thanks for your encouragement, Charlie. It was great meeting you in Memphis.

I've started a new build. I'll be in touch, if I get stuck.

That is quite a nice build you have there and congratulations are in order for your second place finish in your first ever show.  I am honored to have played a wee small part with helping out :).
