Title: Junior Johnson 64 WIP
Post by: RandB11 on January 06, 2019, 02:46:08 PM: I still remember seeing this car race at Asheville Weaverville speedway when I was 9 years old. The pearl yellow paint just glowed in the sunlight. I always wanted to try to do a replica of it. This is what I've got so far. Not too much more to go to finish it. Been piddling with it for well over a year.

That is nearly impossible, since all cars look so much alike nowadays. But if they were to run true Mustang, Camaro, etc bodies than it would be a bit easier.

Back to the model, that is going to be a real stunner. Where did you get the '64 body? I wish AMT/Round2 would rerelease a full kit of the '62 and'64 Fords.

I saw it in the movie Â´Red Line 7000Â´. What a great sound!

Wanted always to build this very model, but i have build till now Bobby AllisonÂ´s, Tiny LundÂ´s and FireballÂ´s 1964 Galaxies.

I still have one in my stash and this is by far the most valuable kit i have.

I have the decals to do the Tiger Tom Pistone car from this kit, one day, maybe... :) :)
