Post by: Bob P. on April 10, 2018, 01:50:19 PM
Trone's wrecker to tow the #39 to the track.

All decals for these two projects will be supplied by Greg Holland VSRN on this forum.

I have the #39 already built.

1940 Ford pickup to tow the 1961 #88 to the track
I'm using a modified and re painted die-cast for the pickup.

Oh Yeah......love this...

You know until I moved back to Iowa I didn't realize I had bought 2 die-cast pickups, a '37 & '40 Fords.......the '37 has a strictly stock engine and  the '40 as a 3-carb setup for the flathead....

Too bad Revell/Monogram couldn't find the old molds from the 1st issue of thier '40 Ford P/U......or find a way to backdate that kit.....
though I don't know how stock that original kit was......saw the instruction sheet to that kit on another site (Drastic Plastic......) and it looked like it had the tuck and roll seats for the interior, don't remember if there were any options for the engine....
