Ok Keep it in mind I can not scratch build to save my life . So I need to know what kit would be perfect base for a dirt late model body I picked one up from bid donkey . I leaning towards an ASA chassis what do y'all think?

great starting point for a dirt late model chassis build . you shouldn't have to rebuild/scratch build to much to make that chassis work for ya... but if you need to rework any part of that chassis wil b easy .. just take your time and have fun

What David said....Depends on if you're going for a detailed build or a more or less 'curbside' model. I'm doing one curbside. Since you can't see much under them I'm using a modified AMT Nascar chassis. I'm going to go into more detail on this build later on. But these pics give you an idea. Added a quick change to the nascar trailing arms. It'll have coil over shocks which will be visible from the rear to give the illusion of late model suspension parts, and I'll stub out the rear of the frame with round stock to look like a tube frame. I'll build an interior tub and not bother with a roll cage. The only cage you can see on these cars is what sticks up above the deck. The chassis and suspension is easily modified to fit different wheelbases and ride height. Orange car is an old build I did, same way.

Great build Tom!I use the AMT and Monogram chassis,just not a lot of detail!
