rat trap vega
« on: January 18, 2018, 10:21:17 PM »
started on this about two weeks ago. pretty much box stock other than some aftermarket wheels and adding a floater tire from an old super stocker kit. shortened the frame (wheelbase)and moved the roll cage back. used the stock hood with some added styrene to the front. still have some more body work to do to hood. going to paint similar to the box art with the green paint and #11. I'm thinking about adding a rear spoiler also. going to try to paint body this weekend since it's suppose to warm up some.

You've got a way about these Tony and this is going to be one of the better Rat Trap Vega's I've seen. I like her stance and the washes really bring out the details!
I appreciate people that actually build and post models.

got some paint on yesterday, now wait on this slow drying enamel to dry. it should be dry enough this weekend to get the decals on and finish.

This is really looking good Tony. I like that color of green.

Oh yea...that's really looks good Tony! What color are you going with on the #s and sponsors?

Thanks Gary, I think I'm going to use the kit decals which are the white #11's but I have some lime green numbers I thought about also. I will decide later this week when the paint is dried good. My original plan was to build it like the box.

The white set would look great on that green...But...looking at that dark green and visualizing the lime green on there...that might be way cool too...either way...it's going to look killer.

Can't say if I ever saw one painted and decalled as shown on the box art......
Either way you decal it, it's bound to jump out at one!
