Thanks, Gary. Well I got the body completely painted and I used frog tape for the masking. Do your self a favor and don't believe the commercials. It doesn't work very well. I'm going to have to fix a lot of leakage of paint to paint. It might work good if your painting a wall in your house but not so much on a model car. I also got the chassis fitted to the body some what. Mpc didn't do a very good job on the gap between the cage and the roof. Just have to wait a week for the enamel to cure and I can finish this thing up.

Hey Mark...I hear you on the Frog Tape. Butt...it will work in straight lines if one burnishes the edges. At least it did for me. I still use the Tamiya tape. I got it in 4 sizes and cut it in thin strips( on a thick piece of glass) if I have to do a tight corner. I still burnish the edges using their tape. I have very little(if any) bleed thru. It's a bummer getting the DEADFUL bleed thru....I feel for ya Mark.

Thanks, David and Gary. I think I saved the screw ups this time with my sanding stick and my paint brush. luckily I had a little of the mixed color, I had to make,  to do the touch up.

I just finished the two tone paint,( pink, and cream,)on the body of my 39 Chevy coupe make over to represent a straight eight hardtop Buick coupe. I used Tamiya tape for the first time, and it worked out great. I did burnish it down out of habit, and it came out without a single bleed. I don’t know for sure if it was the better tape,or the thinner coats of paint from the new airbrush, but it worked great. The paint was actually  some old PlastiKote that had been around so long it no longer had any propellant left in the can.

"Shelfers Unite!!" My builds are shelfers. I am a shelfer!!

Is this a picture of you? It's nice to know what some of the people look like. I have a special file just for it. My problem is, I don't have room anymore since I retired.

No, no, a thousand times no. That is not me! I even went back and removed the photo I used and I hope that you will too. It was just a gag that got a life of it's own. Sorry Mark.

Nothing to be sorry about , David. That's not hijacking. If you had guessed what model I am building and built one yourself and posted it, that would be hijacking. My feelings are not hurt, believe me.

Whoa! That's a real beauty, Mark! I give it an eleven just on that "pose" alone. What a transformation!
