Or, The Week That Was

Or. . . how about The Week That Was

1-You have to start a kit and build it in one week.
2-We all start the same time and post the end build at the same time.
3-This is NOT to show what a great 6-month Project you can build but rather to simply have some fun!
4-Can be any car or truck or motorcycle or tank or plane or whatever!
5-You can use whatever parts you want but it must be done in one week, start-to-finish.

We can all post our box contents the same day. Then we'll start at Midnight that night and end on Midnight, a week later. We will then post our builds, done or not, that following day. A few progress shots along the way would be nice too.

As before, this is not some crazy Level 5 Master Build! You can leave the body unglued and things like that so that if you want to do more detail work later you can. You will have one entire week to build SOMETHING! And that something is simply for the fun of it all; the joy we once had as kids building model kits!!

I appreciate people that actually build and post models.

Thinking a week would work better than 48 hrs. I can look at a kit for 48 hrs before I take one part off the tree!

Sounds like fun...even if all I am able to accomplish is getting the cellophane wrapper off of the box.
Can I make a suggestion of perhaps ending it the Sunday after Thanksgiving to give us working stiffs a day or two of building that we wouldn't have otherwise.

I'm in.  I dont care if it is for an hour, day, week or month, I'm still in.  Only three others so far?  This IS a model car forum, right?

Shoot!! I gave away all my snap kits to kids at swap meets. Guess I'll have to break out something new.

Sounds like a good plan.  That being said, it will depend upon the week.  Right now I am on medical leave from work, so I am getting quite a bit of bench time.  However, once I am released to return to work, I have a BUNCH of catching up to do around the house.  I do enjoy being involved in these type builds, but I have a habit of procrastinating and they do not get done on time.  What is my final thought - I will give it a try.
When I win the Powerball I will switch to the real ones.
