Man David....you sure brought back some GREAT memories with this cool back story on the car. You really had me smiling big as My high school friend Larry Ford(no relation to the car folks) and I did pretty much the same thing. Young and had the race bug bad.... but it was a very good experience for both.

Cool!! I remember the old dirt loading ramp at Hawkeye Downs. The farmers sometimes brought their cars in the old stakeside trucks.

Heck yea...I see the spare!... Isn't that it facing us..on the top of the roof(almost). This is darn cool... Oct 73...let's see...I was in Germany. Stationed at Ayers Kasern.. Kirch Goins ( the ROCK). Eating Pomm Fritz and Yeager Schnitzel. annnnd drinking the best BEER in the World. No..it wasn't warm...LOL
