My Moving Adventures Continue
« on: December 20, 2017, 07:45:49 PM »
:)  My house sold in less than a week on the market. I have until January 12 to be moved out.  So, looks like I will be with you here on this computer until within a day or two of that date.

They do have a computer at Riggs Manor for residents'  use, and the activities director will show me how to use it.  Hopefully, I will be able to find STM, and do email on theirs.

I am in the middle of moving, and should have furniture there tomorrow.

I look forward to building again when all this gets settled.
Look to the Lord and His strength -  Seek His face always.

John2....
you shouldn't have any trouble getting onto this site, but you may not be able to save you password for the automatic logon. I know I couldn't when I no longer had internet connection for several years....between the work computer, and library computers, both in NM and IA....
the down side would be not being able to use a photo hosting site.......I never tried to use PhotoBucket on a computer that was not mine....so not sure about that.....

:)  Thanks.   I will just do what I can, and let the loose ends drag.

We will see what happens.  Maybe I can watch y'all if nothing else.

John, take it easy while moving, don't want you to strain anything; we are getting too old for a lot of manual labor.  Hoping you have a very Merry CHRISTmas.

:)  Thanks, Rick.  I am physically, mentally, and emotionally  exhausted.  I see a faint glow at the end of the tunnel.

BTW, I see I am not the only one awake in the middle of the night.  I am going back to bed.

John....I really feel for you.....it does take a toll on one......both physically and mentally.......

Of all the moves I've gone through, the one from Albuquerque to Iowa was the worst.....
just getting the U-Haul loaded really took its toll. just all the aches and pains in primarily my feet and legs. Think what made things worse, was I had a huge blister on the bottom of my left foot just behind the toe knuckles....

While in the military, back when I was younger and in better physical shape, I moved 14 times.  Now admitted some of them were just packing all my clothes and a few personal items into the trunk of the car and heading out, but others were full moves with Uhauls and/or moving vans.  When I was in the ministry I moved 4 more times, including the move to where I live now.  The next move I make I will not be aware of, because I will be in a pine box.
John, hope you get settled quickly and can make this place your home.

Having just gone through this myself, I understand completely.

A few weeks from now you'll feel like a pig in slop, well you know. Right at home!

:)  Well, many thanks to all.  26 years since I moved.  Not easy trying to get a lifetime of stuff into 1/3 of the space I am used to.  My friend helped me 7 hours Thursday.  My sofa is (  was )  so big, we damaged the  house getting it out, moved it 48 miles, and then it would not fit in the elevator at the retirement home.

But .............  I have most of the model stuff there.  I guess that is what is really important.

I am chugging along.    At the point now where what I need at the moment is at the other place.

So, all you modelers, leave the light on for me.

Have not really been into Christmas this year, but I know that it  is tomorrow.  So Merry Christmas to all.   But, I do remember what is most important about Christmas.
Look to the Lord and His strength -  Seek His face always.
