Title: Checking in on John Gorday (john2)
Post by: Brian Conn on January 19, 2019, 12:04:00 PM
I've been reading on some of the damage reports reference the severe weather that has rolled thru your area(West & South West of Jackson, Miss.) in the last 24 hours.....

What's going on is a powerful Winter storm has made its way out of central Canada thru a large part of the United States East of the Rockies.  Since its warmer in the South combined with the moisture coming out of the Gulf of Mexico clashing with the cold air moving in from the North, there has been Tornado watches posted thru out Mississippi and Alabama today.

Here in Northeast Kansas, we received aprox. 3 inches of new snow over night.  Presently the temp. here in Topeka at 12 Noon is 15 degrees with a wind chill of -3 degrees.....it goes with out saying, its a good day to stay inside and BUILD SOMETHING!

:)  Thanks, Brian.  We are ok, but have been without power twice today for a total of about 8 hours.  The front came through over night, with wind, rain, thunder, and lightening. An inconvenience, but not near what most of you guys have.

The temp was 60 yesterday, is 44 now, and going down to 31 tonight.  Hope everyone does ok.
