I decided to complete the kit as a wrecker. It was a lot of fun but, I thought this vehicle was really a work horse; a get-down-in-the-mud working machine. It has a few scrapes (like the crooked horn on top of the cab---ran into a low tree branch--and the scratched up front bumper) and it hasn't been washed in quite a while. Lots of tools in the bed and a few on the front seat.
What good is a wrecker without a wreck? So...……….I also built another '34 Ford pickup that was in pristine condition; taken out only once a week. Unfortunately, last week the driver didn't see the blue sedan in time and the rest is history. With a bent front bumper, a crooked grille, smashed in left fender and driver side door, broken front axle, bent horn, slashed left running board, and spare tire knocked off, this pampered truck isn't going anywhere next week. It's okay, the driver is fine (after a few stiches from hitting his head against the windshield and cracking the glass) although they had to bend the steering column to get him out.
Which leads us to:
Lots of fun!
