That ad popped up on Pinterest and thought everyone would enjoy it. Speedracer and I talked about Woolworth's model kit sales and couple of days ago. I would go to the Woolworth's store in Oak Ridge, TN in the early to mid 70's to buy models. When they put them on sale it was like the heavens opened and angels would sing! Great memories

....did some quick math :o
  Using a recent AMT truck kit purchase against what is shown in the advertisement, there has been a just shy of 3000% ...thats THREE THOUSAND percent increase in kit prices.  As an example an AMT truck kit being priced around $70.00 in 2024 verses costing 2 or 3 dollars in the early '70's
    Judging by the cars shown, I would place that add around 1970-1971
