Thanks, Donato. Yes, I do a lot of that. The trouble is I forget what I learned and usually do it again.

I'll shoot you a PM when I have a minute, Pevely sounds like fun! This house is eating up all of my time right now. I'm off to help my son in law install a new septic system. That's my weekend plans.

Thanks, Steve. Took me a while to figure out how to do those little, tiny ribs. the rest of it shouldn't be as hard. Found out I have to repaint the body. The Vallejo clear varnish I put on it a long time ago never really cured. It always felt sticky to the touch. I don't know if my bottle was too old or what, but I had to strip off the varnish and, in the process, I ended up taking all the paint off the roof. I should have just stuck with the testors acrylic clear like I have always done in the past. I never really liked how the roof turned out so I'm kinda glad I stripped it down to nothing.

I am going to add 2 more body panels to the sides near the motor. Most modern sprint cars have the engine closed in on the sides, basically just room for the headers to come out. Guess that's for aerodynamic purposes... got them cut and starting to paint. Got most of the suspension attachment points in place, have to do one more for the left front. The front end is a little more difficult to set up when the kit shocks are a guide for attaching it and you remove them :o have to attach one side then the other, using the attached side as a guide for the other. Also wheels and tires are almost done, waiting on the front wheel centers to arrive from SWS. Will post more when there is post worthy progress...

Quote from: Volzfan59 on September 19, 2024, 09:08:00 AMWest Memphis wouldn't be undoable at all. This October is pretty full for me. We're going to Ennis, TX for the NHRA Fall Nationals at the first of the month, hopefully 🤞moving into our newly remodeled house mid month and I'm wanting to go to the big model show and swap meet in Cartersville, GA. I think the model show is on the 25th? The model thing is contingent upon how well the moving thing goes.

I did talk to my wife last night about going to a touring level sprint car race next year. She's a car nut too, she's all for it. Hopefully life won't be so hectic in 2025. I'm off to meet with my flooring guy.

Come up to Pevely in April (assuming they will still have their spring weekend again next year). Plenty of hotels in the area, the racing there is awesome, and with the spring dates normally being before local tracks start running there is normally a good car count. Hell, i would even spring for tickets for you and your wife so you get seats that have the best location ;)
