I flew in one of those back in the early 70's.  But it was called a C-47 and had USAF markings.  I flew from Bangkok, Thailand to Udorn RTAFB in Thailand to do my Southeast Asia tour of duty.  Those are two excellent builds, and I am sure they were better  adorned internally than the one I flew on - some of the rivets were missing and you could see the outside from the inside.  Just as an aside (War story follows) there was an old Lt Col who piloted these all over the SEA theater.  He bet one of the fighter pilots the  "Gooney Bird" (affectionate name for the C-47) could do an inside loop and he proved it.  Of course, he was then put on desk duty for the remainder of his enlistment.
