This is a replica of the Ree Smith owned number 1, driven by Lynn Paxton in 1965. They raced in central, Pa.
Ree Smith is current Pa. sprint car driver Mark Smith's father.
Everyone in Pa knows Lynn Paxton, hall of famer and a big contributor to EMMR museum for many many years.

I don't know what the EMMR Museum is Bob but I am going to suggest that these tribute builds of yours should go in there. Seriously. You should get a nice case and these should be displayed right in this Museum. And kudos to Greg on another set of terrific decals.
Beautiful!

Thanks for the comments guys.
David,
I just sent you an email with the latest EMMR museum newsletter attached.
Bob
Great build, very nice work.
Super job Bob! Great attention to detail!
Nice job Bob! I might be a hillbilly in the Ozarks but you durn skippy I know who Lynn Paxton is! I like this, it is from a time when drivers had a pair! Bet Lynn never whined about an aero-push, he just drove em!
Indeed a very beautiful replica, really like your style of building. Not really familiar with this style racer, my formidable years was spent around coupes/sedans in the modified ranks and tri-five Chevys and Fords in the Sportsman/Late-Model ranks.
"Bet Lynn never whined about an aero-push, he just drove em!" I'll wager he did not even know what aero-push was, I know I don't even today.
VERY nicely done!!!
GREAT looking replica!
WOW Very nice job, Bob!
Ditto.
Thanks everyone for the nice comments on this build.
This was built using an Edmunds super modified kit. The frame was lengthened, front roll cage plastic coated wire, all body panels made from thin aluminum sheets. This should have been a simple build but it was one those that seemed to never get finished.
Bob
I agree with David. This looks like a museum quality build from where I'm sitting! Two big thumbs up, and great work again, Bob!
WOW. This is an incredible build, you really nailed it perfectly.
Bob, this replica is what all have said it is, incredibly lifelike, museum quality!!! The name, Lynn Paxton, was known all over by dirt fans of yesteryear!!! Beautiful replica!!!🏁🏁🏁
Bob did a great job on this one and others, he has a real talent in building these cars and they should be on display at the emmr museum.
Man, I missed another beauty here - great job on this old one!
I agree these cars should be on display at the museum, for some reason they dont t seem too interested at the museum, perhaps if they see the finished product they will change their mind.
Nice build. Glad to see something blue oval powered rather than the dreaded bow tie so commonly seen.

Another great piece of work, great detailing very clean build.

Beautiful replica build! Very nice.
