The virtual Racing Series I was tinkering with is DEAD.
We have 163 "Members" and the response was tepid at best. It may be pursued by someone else on here but I have decided that I personally cannot move forward with the amount of time and energy this endeavor would take in order for it to be done properly when such a small number appeared to genuinely step forward. I do very much appreciate the few that seemed to embrace the concept.
Like 1:1 racing, small car counts killed the Series. Really hard to draw a crowd with seven haulers in the pits. Thanks again to those few who were willing.

Funny thing --- auto racing. We went to our local track Saturday night.
52 cars checked in.. Maybe ..... maybe .... that many spectators in the stands. Sprinkles began as the track packing began. Then the lightening. We decided we'd better get our handicapped lift equipped van out of there and back onto pavement. Drove through a frog strangler on the way home.
Sorry it didn't work out David.
I'm sorry this didn't work out David. I think it would have been a lot of fun.
Thanks for all the work you put into the project.
Bob
I'm sorry for the poor response, David...Its a great idea and at some other time i think i may have been a willing participant. Maybe give it another run sometime in the future. Its sure good to be starting to build again albeit simpler cars than i would like but making headway none the less. I think going to the races with Tom and Bob D this summer and the opening night of the Supernationals in Boone was good for the habit.
That's great......
Now if only R2/AMT or Revell(?) could make a kit or two for the modifieds and hobby stock and stock cars........
At one time I knew a modified builder would have been willing to help a company to create such a kit.....
As much as I would like see kits of these, I just have a feeling that there would not be enough interest in such,,,,,,
At Boone, do you remember who flagged the races? Or if they used more than one starter?
Talked to the starter for the Fairmont, MN, Britt, Algona and Spencer IA tracks a little over a week ago and he told me he was doing most of the flagging for the Boone Nationals...
His name is Logan Kelly.....Works at Hy-Vee in Fairmont....
Super friendly guy....
