Title: Model news
Post by: Tom Birky on October 15, 2019, 07:43:37 PM
News of interest to board members! Saw a video from Salvino JR models, a little sneak preview of a new kit in development. Jim was showing an all new generic, but modeled after a current nascar style asphalt modified. He had a prototype of the chassis and expects it sometime next year. You can see it on their fb page. Good news for Chevy fans. AMT is releasing a full bumper version of the 70 1/2 Camaro. Should make a few people happy.

I'd like to see the modified but we don't do facebook.  Can anyone bootleg a picture ?

Would love to build one.  Probably cost $ 50 though.

I don't do Facebook either but was able to look at the main Salvinos page and find a short video without having to log into FB.  Fast forward to about the 7:00 minute mark and you'll see the frame and then the Salvino's guy starts talking about the frame.  It looks like a really nice piece.  He said it was 3D printed.  They will offer a complete kit when they are ready to put this into production.  Here's the link, hope it works https://www.facebook.com/salvinosjrmodels/videos/563697824170790/

For the Mopar guys AMT is showing a 65 Coronet, interestingly, a Snap kit.

Cool video!  I will get at least one for parts if nothing else!  Guess I need to buy a model or two from  Salvinos JR just to help the modified along!  Neat stuff and I really enjoyed the video.  Signed up to get alerts when he's going to be live.
