Being thankful appears to be a thing of the past.  I do take time to reflect on the many blessings I have, some not as evident as others, but blessings none the less.  Tonight I have been given the opportunity to present the message for our Thanksgiving program at church.  My primary point is "Are you thankful, or just full?", something I think a lot of people need to ponder.
As for the question David asked my answer is  - Yes!

Past Thanksgiving dinners were usually Turkey while Christmas had both....

For me, since 2010, with ONE exception, I've been on my own for both Thanksgiving and Christmas....
But don't feel bad for me, I've come to enjoy the solitude.
I enjoy the related church services instead.

There is one thing I miss, The USAC Turkey Night Grand Prix at Ascot in SoCal....
Between 1972 and when the track closed in 1990, I don't think I missed more than a half dozen.
It would be ten years before going to my last one, Nov 2000, at the Irwindale Speedway, 1/2 mile paved track.
6 months later I was living in FL....

                                               Happy Thanksgiving to all!!!

Just woke up from being blind sided by some Tryptophan, the stuff in turkey that makes you sleepy......knocked me smooth out today.

Turkey for Thanksgiving, Ham For Christmas and Easter ...I take the leftover ham and make ham salad ....love me some ham salad sandwiches.

Weren't they still frozen Greg? That was a funny show!!

David, after watching the clip on you tube, I think they were live birds!  Funny how after so many years my recollection kinda blurred!
