I am not big on so-called New Year's Resolutions. That being said, I AM resolved to attempt a couple of things this year.
1. I resolve to adapt my building style in order to continue to enjoy my hobby. I sense my eyesight and dexterity is beginning to slip as I age so there may not be as much detail or "tiny work" on a few this coming year but they will look great from 8 feet away on my shelf!
2. I resolve to build a few more things that I enjoy that may not be related to short track racing at all. That may include some boats, locomotives, showroom stock cars and other things. I will still post them here and I hope you will still appreciate the build, even if it's not some historic tribute short tracker deal.
Maybe a good post string to allow you folks to ponder your upcoming 2020 Model Building Year! Feel free to join in!
Resolutions for 2020 in no particular order....
1) Weathering ....use of dull coats, washes, etc. for a more realistic and not fake look.
2) Study the fine art of model building more
3) Use one of Jackie Sims (Gator) bodies for a build ..... so many ideas :)
4) Not get derailed by detractors

Good idea on the Jackie Sims thought Brian. I am hopeful that Gator will see this and chime in as to whether or not he has mastered any new bodies. His stuff is really a treat!
I would be interested in that as well. Does he sell any of his bodies?
I purchased some bodies the latter part of last year from him......great person to deal with.......here's the link to the bodies....

I realize that I am in the twilight of my model building career. So my resolution is to have only one model in progress at a time. And they will pretty much be curbsides. Not so much time spent on engines and undersides.
