Title: Model contest
Post by: Greg Birky on March 23, 2020, 01:42:21 PM
Good afternoon fellows!  I hope y'all are staying healthy and safe and getting in some quality benchtime!  Bob D, Tom Birky and I attended the annual Cedarville Model Car Contest and Swap Meet on March 15th.  It is quite likely the last public outing for the foreseeable future l.  It was a small turnout compared to past years for obvious reasons but fun nonetheless.  Here's a link to the pictures I took.  I hope you enjoy.

Thanks for posting these pics, Greg..!
Plenty of GREAT looking builds....!

Makes me miss the model car club I belonged to for a year or so before I moved back to Iowa....
They always allowed members to put their builds on display. sometimes they had small contests for the fun of it...
It was neat to see builds from super detailed to just out of the box, with a little paint on them.....

The Oct. monthly meetings were held at an area park, as they had various members grilling hot dogs, etc,
Made it to two of those before leaving....

Imagine those once a month meetings will be on hold for a while now.....

David, i agree!  More to look at, more encouragement to build in my book!  Not all can get to shows but but highly recommend making an effort to just try to build something...glue an engine block together and post it!  I know that comments and encouragement from you guys helps me stay with it and I'm going to get back to the Chevelle late model soon.  What better time to pick up something and give it a shot!!!  Build something and don't be afraid to show it even if it's not up to your usual standards.  If it looks like a kid build, so what!!!  We're all kids here for Pete's sake...Be safe, be healthy and like Stacy David on Gearz says, "Now go build something!!!"  Have a great day guys🏁🏁🏁😎
