Short Track and NASCAR modeling

This was built back in 05( man...that sounds OLD...Don't it... :o) to replicate an open comp car. The Body is from the AMT 55 Street Machine kit and a southern stocker chassis was used to sit the Body on. Decals were made here in house also. Paint was duplicolor.  Here's a few pics for a look....

 :)  A top notch job.  Quite a bit of work there, and unusual colors and arrangement.

Mean looking machine. What do you use to strap the roll bar padding. It's very realistic looking but I can't see it clear enough to figure out what it is...

Rett...I used small diameter copper wire and then painted it black. I see that some of the color has worn off from lifting the body on and off. But...the body is on there permanently now....

This is REALLY Nice!  Love the paint scheme & especially the cut-out windows for a "larger" wheelman!

Hey Ed...it is a BB. Open comp engine..going for the big bucks....

Looked good back then and still looks good very nice detail. 55 Chevy racers look good as race cars.

Thanks Jim...the wheels on this are ones that I fabbed ( sliced and made wider...made the hubs from evergreen..) using different kit wheels from the parts box.
