They are stock clip cars, usually off set.My model won't be!

got my attention with this one....
not used to seeing this style of car running pavement.....but then, I'm dirt track country here in Iowa...
and a name I recognized from the past....CRA past that is.....Jim Peacock. Saw him at Ascot when I started going to races there in 1972 (a couple of weeks after moving there)
jim was a legend in his own time,a great engine builder,a true friend, and a great car building partner. He is sadly missed RIP
Looking pretty sweet, Pat!!! gb😎👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🏁
thanks,i'll get to start this one over one day
Nice Fab work...
No,I'll be starting from scratch again.went into the wall on turn four during a shake down run. >:(
:'( :'( :'(
Man Pat....hated to hear about the turn four thing...but as we know...that can happen in Race'in. I really like these modifieds and you are doing a killer job of one in scale. The 1/1 you built makes me want to get into the shop and build one. I hope you can get the build bug back soon. You're a very good builder and it's certainly a real TREAT to watch as you build.
thanks,i'llbe giving it a shot again soon.as for the 1;1 cars we built 4.2 with our own chassis,1 lefthander,1 harris. We also built 1 late model,1 pro truck,1 legend car.miss those days like crazy!
Dang Pat...you folks were very busy! :o I hope this wasn't in one season. I think that would be a little taxing... Looking forward to the upcoming WIP...
hahaha,10 years
so I am taking another shot at this, but will do it a little differently.I'll post some pics when I get a little farther along.Have a great weekend!
That's good to hear Pat...Looking forward to the WIP.
Great fab work! It helps to have worked on the real deal and involved in racing it too.
Rich
well,i have started it!didn't gut the frame this time.this one was a little twisted.also last time I built the rear stub and then mounted the rear end.what a pain.this time i'll mount the rear, then finish the stub.this will be along project!

ALL right then Pat... Good to see you start on this puppy. What chassis are you starting with? The front clip looks like a Nascar front end.
AMT T-Bird nascar.I can assemble the fronts on them way better than fighting with the gm chassis
