John,

You haven't heard. Christmas has been cancelled this year because someone told Santa I was good this year.  He's in the hospital with a heart attack laughing so hard.

:)  A kind word and a sweet smile will do for me.

It DOES occasionally snow in central Mississippi.  This morning is occasionally. Most I have seen in quite a few years.  Looks like maybe 2 1/2 inches on the  tree limbs and still falling.

It will be postcard class when the sun hits it.   8)

We were going to breakfast, but it is not worth bending up a truck for an egg sandwich and some grits.  People here do not know how to drive in it.  Tree limbs will be falling on the roads, and cars sliding off into ditches.  Most people will drive too fast.

Just saw that on the news. You, and a few others are getting a surprise this morning. Supposed to get pretty cold down here, (for us), but no snow. I'm originally from Wisconsin and don't miss it one bit! Stay safe and warm!

:)  Thanks, Rett.  It is still going.  Hard to measure in the yard, because of different levels in different areas.  I stuck a ruler in it and got 4" just  out the front door.  It is beautiful right now, but I already see some branches to clean up later.

I think lunch is out too.  Looks like a peanut butter day.    Actually, I can cook, but I don't keep much food in the house anymore.  I have a microwave cheeseburger, and several cans of soup.  lol

Merry Christmas to everyone here on the board.

Me, I'll be quietly celebrating the holiday season, as I've done since 2010, just a quiet restful day for just myself. Have enjoyed just being on my own.  ;D
Oh, and I've been buying myself a couple or so presents for myself, by adding to my kit collection, one of which arrived yesterday.   :)

IF I don't forget, will drag out one of my favorite movies, that I usually only watch twice a year, at minimum.
Would you believe: "Ben-Hur"? The Charlton Heston version from 1958(?)

:)  Thanks to all for the replies.

The snow turned out to be the most we have had in quite a number of years.  I think 4 to 6 inches. Everybody is talking about it.  It really sneaked up on us.

You guys in other parts of the world where there is a lot, will just have to excuse us.

Now as it melts, we have icy roads to deal with.  So pretty, but so dangerous also.
