Title: randy's
Post by: pdaly28 on January 19, 2018, 09:38:36 AM
Dennis Oechsli I'm a moderator at Randy's and about 6 weeks ago the ISP "moved it to a new server". Obviously that failed miserably. Bob Hanner which is the person who supports the site went to work and found out that the ISP had "lost" several of the database files and had no backups. (whatever we paid the ISP is obviously too much). The biggest loss was the USERID file that contains all of the log in information. Last I heard from Bob he was attempting to cobble together the files to get the site back up. I have not gotten an update from him in over a week

"...had no backups"?!  Completely unacceptable.  That is IT 101; basically anything software related 101.  You ALWAYS back up ur data at least once daily.

I'd be looking for someone's head as well as my money back.

Bob is working hard to get it back up. Site will now display but membersip files are gone, everyone will have to re-register.
