Hey guys,
This is a project I finished back in the fall. It's a 39 Ford modified sportsman car driven by Banjo Matthews in the late 50s here in Asheville, NC. Banjo won many races at the McCormick Field baseball stadium against drivers such as Ned Jarret, Ralph Earnhardt, and Dickie Plemmons. I used a Revell 40 Ford body, bits and pieces from a Revell 37 Ford pickup, Resin wheels and tires from Ron Coon and a healthy amount of scratch building.
