Title: Photobucket Lights Up
Post by: David Bogard on June 20, 2018, 08:18:12 AM
So I'm sitting here this morning and I get an email telling me that Photobucket has taken their annual payment of $20-something dollars and thanking me. What? I don't remember but I must have attempted at some point back when things got crazy to set up an automatic annual payment and then apparently I forgot all about it. So I then went over and logged into Photobucket (had to have help in resetting my password and all of that since I had forgotten it all) and once I'm in, viola!! All of my "one billion" photos (slight exaggeration-but not much of one) were there just like nothing ever happened! I am furiously downloading all of them in order for me to cancel but for this brief moment, all of my lost work is right here on the screen.

I will later post an old complete buildup of some car just because I now have access to it again. Go figure?

Heck yes, get it all out while you can.....there is NO way I would trust that outfit with access to my bank acct.
Don't know if you do online banking or not...I would check and see anyway if indeed p-bucket did actually make a withdrawal from your banking acct. since you apparently forgot setting this up....and then , if it where me, cancel the automatic annual payment just to be safe and secure.
Just looking out for ya, buddy  :)

I too paid Photobucket a small fee each year to be add free.  I have not been contacted by them and doubt I will be as I sent them a bombardment of searing emails to close my account and cancel the auto payments.  Any photo they may still have I have  on my computer so I didn't lose anything except posts on different boards.  Then there was Fotki.  Now that may work for some of you but if you are one that don't have your lips wrapped around Microsoft and Windows, those guys will not help you either.  I'll stick with Postimage for now.  It is free and I can post a pic in two clicks.  I hope at some point everyone that lost photos because of Photobucket can get them all back but save em somewhere else!!  Should the day ever come that it costs me big bucks to post photos on a forum, I will only share photos with my Cat.
