Hope everyone will have a "safe and safe" 4th of July....
Will be dodging rain in my area today sometime.....(like we need more rain!....not)
Same to you, Ed!!! I hope you don't get rain...I don't think anybody in Iowa needs it right now. We didn't go to the parade this year because the humidity is as high as the temperature is. Be safe!!!💥🎇🇺🇸🏁

and now for some weather history....
On this day in 1776.....Thomas Jefferson, on his way to Congress to sign the Declaration of Independence, purchased a thermometer. At 2 pm it was cloudy with a temperature of 76 degrees.
Greg....Did get a little rain late yesterday afternoon, but thankfully did mot amount to much here, can't say the same not to far south from me......though have not heard what amounts of rain, or just plain strong T-storms, did have an alert from my NOAA radio last evening, but it was to the south.....
Didn't do anything outside yesterday....,.just went over to my brother's house and played cards......
couple of games of "Liverpool Rummy" and "Phase-10" .....
Hopefully weather holds for races and Fireworks tonight at the Algona, IA track.....
I'm glad you had some family time yesterday, Ed. I believe the Ames area got the brunt of the storm according to the weather gal this morning. We were right on the very southern edge of the storm so it rained pretty hard but only for about fifteen minutes and it was done. We were camping at Lake Red Rock this past weekend and missed the brunt of the weather there as well. We just need a week or so without rain now so the fields can dry out. Looks to be a fairly substantial crop loss from the last few days rain. Well, hopefully back to the workbench and the Roy Mayne Chevy this evening. Take care, Ed!!!😎👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🤗🏁
