A beauty for sure. Wanna run for pinks against my 1970 Cougar?

I might need to do a little work to it first. Like breaking open the plastic bags and such  :o

Great looking build!!

How in the world did you have the patience to open up the grill???!?!

love both 1st and 2nd generation Camaros, though I lean more towards the 2nd generation as I got to drive several when I worked for Avis.... would rent one on various weekends (Employee rates) and cruise around the LA Metro area....usually listening to NASCAR on MRN....

Thank you for the nice comments everyone. Hondo, it's a COPO 9560 option package, the heart of which was an all aluminum 427 big block. The blocks came from the Winters Foundry and were originally built for CanAm racing. Fred Gibb of Gibb Chevrolet in LaHarpe, Illinois thought they would make a good drag car. He convinced Vince Piggins to OK an order for 50 of the 500+ hp Camaros.

The "Gibbs 50" consisted of 5 automatic trans and 5 4 speed cars each in 5 colors. The Gibbs cars made up 50 of a total of 69 produced. They did not come with the front and rear spoiler packages or RS equipment like a few of the later ZL1's had.

Lots more to this story. If you're bored and like Camaros...here's a link.  http://www.camaros.org/copo.shtml
Also...cool vid...turn up your speakers!  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_uKyKYqfQGs

Charlie....I love the Daytona yellow Camaro as well and almost went that route, but yellow wasn't one of the Gibbs colors so I went with the orange.

Thanks!  tom
