finished this one up a little bit ago, the glue on the windows may not be fully dry yet ;)

#55 Perrier Monte Carlo of Jean Girard from the movie Talladega Nights.  really stupid movie but the character of Jean Girard is so over the top and so well played by Sascha Baron Cohen that i felt compelled to do this build.

it's a 2001 Revellogram Monte Carlo kit (shoulda been 2005, didn't realize the differences until after i already had the 2001 in hand), Tamiya Park Green paint and decals from 3 Amigos.  soooooo much layering to do with these, i will reconsider any future builds that take this much work.  i just don't have the patience for it.

before we get to the model, here are some Girard pics and a mini-biography.

this is the most basic, straight-out-of-the-box build i have done in years.  not a single modification to the kit, stance is box stock, etc.  just a couple of extra decals that weren't on the sheet.

since this is a fictitious driver, can i enter it in Fantasy Cup next year? ;D

Now there is something that you don't see everyday...a Studebaker powered race car!  Crew Chief "Pops" DeClutch has been stock piling Studebaker parts and pieces since the demise of the once great automobile manufacturer in the late 1960's...he claims to have enough parts and pieces to build a couple of Larks and one pick up.
Did you know that Belzoni, Mississippi, home of Southern Farm Aviation is also famous for being the Farm-Raised Catfish Capital of the World!!

Almighty Ford power...Its been a while since I built an engine, in fact it was from back in days when I was running Ford big blocks in the Street Stocks recalls Brian.  This is a punched out 408 small block, John (Gorday) wanted to try something different as far as the engine was concerned and I have plenty of experience running the small block Fords in the past in the Late Models, Modifieds and so forth so he was willing to give it a try.
