Seeing the "true" group build in the "Cars with fenders" section has given me an idea...... want to see what you all think of it.

I have an old Petty Grand Prix kit of what might have been Petty's 200th win (?), but no box, instructions or decals. Kit has to be around 30 years old....
Also have a Davey Allison T-bird from 1990 sans the extra bonus pieces (driver figure, tool boxes, etc.) and no decals

Here's my idea, I know I will never get around to doing anything with these kits and don't want to just toss them out, (not that was a consideration, too many places they can go to these days!)  :D
Just want some of you to have fun with something like this.....(as if you don't have anything to work on! LOL)

Will donate these two kits to those who would make them into short track late models, with wider than the NASCAR tires from the kits, maybe even a dirt late model, a sort of what if,
Would like to see more than one person work on these 2 kits to create what whoever works on them sees in their minds. Preferably a fantasy build, not an actual replica. As long as it is a short track car. use a different engine......etc......

As to who ends up with the build, once completed, I will leave that up to those on this board.
I think it's time these kits see the "light of day" instead of "rusting" away here....

Whatcha' think?

Heck, I'll even pony up the mailing cost(s) to the first destination(s)...  ;) ;D ;D

David, that's what I'm thinking, but there are so many great builders here, for me, it's hard to know where who likes certain parts of a build....
so, yes, that is why I'm throwing this idea out there like I did.

jlhboys1969 & pdaly28: That is exactly what I'm talking about!! Something to make them less NASCARish looking.....
Both those cars look great!!!
