Just went to the track Saturday night to watch a little racing , they had the DAARA cars there for exibition runs , along with the usual fare . Things really got interesting when one of the drivers in a wingless sprint car , it was by far the fastest car in the group , hooked another car on the back stretch and barrel rolled  about 3 times in the air before landing back upright , was quite a sight . The driver , a 70 year old , who was knocked unconscious momentarily and had to be cut out of the car and air lifted to the hospital . He was sitting up when they loaded him in the ambulance to take to the fire station , which was just outside the track entrance , and meet the helo . Haven't heard how he faired , but wishing him well .

ModelCarMan AKA Ricky

Just heard the driver has sustained several broken ribs, some facial lacerations, bruising and underwent back surgery yesterday and is now in stable condition.  If I find anything else out will let y'all know.  Driver name is Gale Hendricks.
