I found an old airbrush in my garage the other day. I hadn't used it since my pancake compressor died a couple of years ago. So, I did a quick lap of the local yard sales, and came up with another airbrush, an extra hose, and a moisture trap. And,best of all a guy had a contraption he thought was a compressor, but it didn't work. It was a vacuum pump. I bought it for five bucks, took it home, screwed around with the valves, and am now pumping air. I rooted through my junk and found a new pressure regulator I bought for the old compressor I had before the now dead pancake. It looks like I'm getting close to doing some paint jobs without the dreaded can.
I'm also thinking, that since I now own a vacuum pump, I might try some vacuum forming. Have any of you ever tried using a diecast body as a form for vacuum forming?

If I could send you a picture I would, but you'd have to show proof of a recent tetanus shot, just to look at the picture. Boy, this is a milestone, I'm warning a guy from Arkansas about thing being a little too hillbilly.

OND, David aint funnin' you none.  Only time we take shots from the Gub'ment is when they gets all uppity and pushy over the corn mash cookers.  That stops pretty quick cause we got the same hardware they do.  And as for the vittles, you boys taste buds aint never been excited as when there is fresh collards, grits and baked sow belly with a jar of pickled chicken gizzards.  You boys just aint lived yet.
