Working on the frame. I was not happy with the kit suspension, so I am using the axles and suspension from the Revell '33 Willys gasser van. I am moving the rear wheels back a hair, and the front wheels forward a bit, which is more in line with the 60s AWB Novas I am familiar with. I sliced the rear frame section with a razor saw to move the rear spring mounts forward to accommodate the shorter gasser springs.

I reversed the rear springs, so that the shorter end is toward the rear. I will cut out a bit of the rearward section of the wheel well, and post that when it's done, along with a real life example. This way, I can avoid the whole process of cutting out and moving the entire wheel well section.

I'm doing minimal chrome trim on this car. The Doug's Headers Chevy 2 Much only had chrome around the windshield, back window, the grill, door handles, and taillight trim. All the other trim and badges were removed. The bumpers were fiberglass, so those will be painted a dull aluminum.

Nope, just a little bit! My front wheels will not be quite that far forward, I think.

A little progress. You can't tell by this photo, but the paint is metalflake. The motor will be back a bit.

Good looking blue Marty. I did mine in TS92 Metallic Orange. Still haven't decided on decals but after Thanksgiving I am hoping to start finishing it up so we can line these AWB Chevy II's up!! Your is looking great!

That is a nice orange. Maybe I can photoshop our cars together when they are finished?
