I always wanted to do this one. So, I took an old Edmunds dirt car and took it apart.
I had '32 Ford Sedan body that I'd narrowed.  (Had to narrow it a bit more for this)
Made a hood, rear bumper and radiator guard. Rearranged a few things.

I like what you did with that kit. It looks really fast, too! I can just picture it spraying geysers of dirt all over the place!

WOW!!

That is one COOL Super.....!!!!!!!!!

Back around 1968-71 at a couple of Southern MN stracks (Jackson & Fairmont) ran  something very close to this which they called modifieds.

Really nice Hondo. Simple; straight-forward and to the point kind of a race car. The flat black hood is a nice twist.
I appreciate people that actually build and post models.

I enjoyed knocking this one out.
A little tedious at times, but aren't they all?

Thanks for the comments !!

STRAIT OUTTA KANSAS   Like a great steak, it's well done.

This car really reminds me of the first modifieds on our little dirt track. Watching them was a precursor to seeing sprints later. They were wild, and like sprinters, running on the ragged edge of control. They threw a lot of dirt too. We came home from the races looking like coal miners.

Great job Hondo!!! Like wise...up in N. California these style of bodies were Modifieds. But....the difference between the Modifieds ( small blocks/Carbs/av gas) and The Supers (big Blocks /Injected/ alcohol) was engine size and fuel delivery. Man that build sure brings back some GREAT memories....

Looks like you scored big around here, Hondo.
