Here are a few more pics from different angles. After I rest up from Flickr beating me up, I'll post pics of the tow truck used to pull this thing to the track.IMG_2358 by Mark Box, on FlickrIMG_2355 by Mark Box, on FlickrIMG_2357 by Mark Box, on Flickr

Thanks everyone for all the nice compliments. Truth is, I opened the trunk originally. Added the battery and gas tank with fuel line. When I cut open the trunk, I ran the X-Acto one direction with the cut on the left side, then the opposite direction on the right side.  Not realizing the angle of the cut was opposite. One wouldn't think it would make a difference but it sure did. It looked nasty on one side, SO.......I glued it shut! However, I did remove the stock center chunk of the rear end and grafted in a nice Franklin quick change. Other than the rear end, it is stock underneath. I posted the tow truck for this thing over on the Trucks and haulers section.

Don't know how I missed this beauty.  Very nice piece of work.
When I win the Powerball I will switch to the real ones.

Nice work. What do you use to make the strap or wire to hold the hood closed.
If you bought it a trucker hauled it.

I mind is a terrible thing to waste....has anybody seen mine??????

Sorry I took so long to answer. I used the very small, black, thin rubber pieces that make up the skirt of a top water fishing lure. It stretches like a rubber band so I just glued one side down with CA glue, then pulled it fairly tight and CA glued the other end down. Gotta be steady handed or you will glue it to your fingers. Thanks for your interest.

Nice, I like it. Love the old coupes and coaches with fenders!
